Im not suggesting that people *need* help running around Searing

But it occured to me that once you've taken a couple of characters through pre it can be a chore to go back and collect whatever you need to before crossing to post to build a new character.

When I did it with my second character I followed a guide that explained the key quests and things to achieve (and the point about not taking the xp until you have levelled up killing things) which was more efficient.
Nevertheless, it still takes time.

I've seen people dash through at level 2 simply because they want to get on with developing their post character.
Conversely there are level 8-10 characters in Pre - experienced players (with other Post characters) who like the feel of Pre / are collecting dyes.

I'd really like it if there was a way to get a runner in Pre who would drag you around the map - clear various skill quests, get the signet etc while I could be afk (or at least not fully participating)

Has anyone done this? Does anyone know of anyone who does this?
Biggest problem I can see if paying - would need to be paid in post as the pre character wouldnt have any money - so scope for scamming on either side is high.

haha funny thread. runners would not be possible as sprint,charge, or any running-like skill is not available in pre.

no need for charge/sprint...a good level 8 can pretty much solo everything in pre except for the Charr

I don't *literally* mean running
I mean *doing* with a team mate tagging along
still slow for the 'doer' but if the customer is able to go afk / just tag along then it saves a lot of time for the customer

i used to run a service
all towns + primary skill quests + collectors armor + if they were interested the 2ndary skill quests

i normally managed to pull this off in approx 25minz, and all materials were provided

i normally said 100gp for it all, but then realized they wouldnt have 100gp and not of picked up any skillz. so i started running it free when i was bored.

If you're willing to do it free then the scamming issue is less of a worry. Next time I am sending someone pre I would be willing to pay you in post (before or after) I dunno - 1k before + 1k after?

Or dont you have a pre character anymore?

Of course the tricky part would be getting the money for this one, If you have 1-2k pre searing then you really don't need a guide

You would have to wait until you got post searing with the guy/gal before you got paid. You would then need to swap chars to accept payment..if you ever saw the person again!

i can re-create a pre... shouldn't take too long.. just means my pvp is limited to ele and necro atm LOL! (my 2 main pve's my 3rd being storage)

will take me 4/5hrs to get my monk to lvl 10ish
then ill go through and stock up on materials..

prob sounds wierd, but a days notice okay? lol
and i wouldn't dream of more then 500gp
its like.. cmon.. 5 gagoyle skulls, 5 seeds, 3 legs and 3 stones = 160gp max
the only thing i have to re-perfect is my running line

but if you are going to leave a character there for the future that would be great - I'll keep my eye out on this thread and alert my guild.

In terms of paying it really would need to depend on trust - that someone is willing to pay post as 500 gold takes a bit of time

well i just re-rolled my char
will post it as a service

its extremely cheap, butwill offer it at tiers

all 5 towns xx amount
++ all 4 armor pieces (+belt) [+xx ammount] {materials included}
all primary skills [+xx ammount] {this includes res signet}
all secondary skills [+xx ammount]

just gonna work on prices today
been doing some practice runs to time myself.
